Susan Broughton
Head Gardener
As Head Gardener Susan coordinates and works alongside a team of six skilled gardeners in our nine acres of gardens. She also works closely with the Benyon family to plan and manage the development of this beautiful part of the Estate.
Susan has over 20 years’ experience in horticulture, working in a range of private gardens as well as a Garden Centre where she gained extensive plant knowledge. She has a City & Guilds Practical Certificate in Gardening and an RHS General Certificate in Horticulture.
The Estate
The Englefield Estate manages 14,000 acres of mainly rural land and property in West Berkshire. We are hands on in the management of our farming, forestry and property interests and take a long-term view of good stewardship, investment and building strong local relationships.
