After a rigorous two-year certification process, the Estate’s rural surveyor Andrew Rowland has proved he’s an expert in his field, becoming a fully-fledged member of the prestigious Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
RICS is the world’s leading professional body for qualifications and standards in land, property, infrastructure and construction. To become a member of the institution, the body’s professional training qualification, the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) must be completed.
The accreditation involves a period of structured practical training and professional development culminating with the Final Assessment, ensuring that candidates joining RICS are competent to practise as chartered surveyors.
This autumn, Andrew successfully completed the APC, a measure of his professional competence and personal determination.
Edward Crookes, Estate Director, said: “The Estate office is delighted that Andrew has passed a key milestone in his professional career as a rural surveyor.
“Passing the APC proves that you’re an expert in your field. The process, which takes more than two years and is known to be very rigorous, culminates in a daunting formal interview panel.
“Well done Andrew from all of your colleagues.”
